Did you know that Hockey Canada issued a bulletin in 2012 with regards to helmet stickers? Hockey Canada will no longer removed a player's helmet from the play for the application of stickers. Read bulletin below.
Here’s what Hockey Canada’s official guidance says:
Helmet Stickers & Hockey Canada Policy
-
Hockey Canada’s policy states that players must wear a CSA-certified hockey helmet and the CSA certification sticker must remain on the helmet at all times.
-
Hockey Canada recommends against applying anything to the helmet (including stickers) because materials and adhesives could jeopardize the CSA certification or the helmet manufacturer’s warranty.
-
If a player or parent chooses to apply stickers, it’s their responsibility to check with the helmet manufacturer that the adhesive won’t affect the shell, certification, or warranty.
Hockey Power Play Sticker Pack – Questions & Answers
Is there a discount for team orders of the Personalized Power Play Sticker Pack?
Yes! We offer automatic team discounts on our personalized hockey sticker packs. As you increase your team size or order quantity, discounted pricing is applied instantly — no coupon codes or special requests required. This makes ordering matching stickers for teams, tournaments, and associations fast and affordable.
What is included in this hockey sticker combo?
This combo includes one personalized hockey stick decal, five helmet decals (two helmet numbers, two logo decals, and one helmet bumper with team or player name), plus one personalized water bottle sticker. Each sticker is printed with the player’s name, number, team colors, and optional logo to help prevent gear mix-ups in the locker room or at the rink.
Are you allowed to put stickers on hockey helmets?
Yes. Hockey Canada allows stickers to be applied to hockey helmets as long as the helmet remains CSA certified and the CSA certification sticker stays on the helmet at all times. It is the responsibility of the player or parent to ensure that any sticker adhesive does not compromise the helmet’s integrity or void the manufacturer’s warranty. We recommend checking the helmet manufacturer’s guidelines before applying decals.
What size are the stick stickers and helmet decals in this pack?
The personalized hockey stick stickers measure approximately 1/2 inch wide by 5.5 inches long, making them ideal for identifying hockey stick shafts without interfering with performance. The helmet decals are sized to fit most youth and adult hockey helmets and include one number for each side for clear visibility on the ice.
Are the stickers waterproof and durable for games and practices?
Yes. All stickers in our personalized hockey sticker packs are made from premium waterproof vinyl and finished with a durable protective laminate. They are designed to withstand moisture, sweat, cold rink environments, and regular wear through practices, games, and tournaments without peeling or fading.
How do I apply the helmet decals and stick stickers for best results?
For best results, clean the helmet or stick surface with rubbing alcohol and allow it to dry completely. Peel the sticker from the backing, carefully position it, and press firmly while smoothing out any air bubbles. Proper surface preparation helps ensure a secure, long-lasting application.
